Biography

Sam attended College of the Atlantic where he completed an internship and senior project studying a population of island nesting Black-bellied whistling ducks in south Texas with the USFWS. Prior to working as a seasonal biologist for BRI, he worked as a bird biologist on various research projects throughout the U.S. Currently he is pursuing a M.S. in Biology at Acadia University, Nova Scotia investigating mercury levels in the Rusty Blackbird.

Research Interests

Wetland conservation and contaminant exposure to wildlife.
Impact assessments and sustainable development.
