Monitoring Bald Eagles via Satellite

BioDiversity Research Institute has been monitoring two eagles via satellite since late 2005. This study will provide vital data on the foraging patterns, seasonal movements, habitat use, and overall movements of adult Bald Eagles. These data are vital to helping the state and federal eagle biologists manage the birds. This research has been made possible thanks to the generous support of NextEra Energy, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and Avian Haven.
