Research Programs in the Marine Ecology Research Division
The marine ecology division supports research programs investigating human induced environmental stressors in near-shore and off-shore ocean habitats. Current efforts characterize and monitor: environmental contaminant loads; toxicity of contaminants for ecological and human health; movement of wildlife diseases (e.g. avian influenza); and impact of oil spills on wildlife.
